MEET THE ARTIST

Jennifer Klemp
Jennifer Klemp is a fine artist based in St. Louis, MO. Her work is inspired by the artist’s own internal inner searching and manifestation. Her recent artwork taps into the spiritual and introspective nature found within one’s self. Each original piece is created laboriously, drop by drop, fusing traditional methods with abstract undertones. Attention to color theory is intentional, with bright punches of color found throughout.
Since receiving her M.F.A. from Fontbonne in 2001 Jennifer Klemp has created figurative work via traditional drawing and painting techniques. Drawing and painting the figure or still life with attention to the fundamentals is methodical, with unfinished and expressionistic marks and drips intentionally made to certain pieces. The process through which the art is created, whether the work be abstract or figurative is evaluated through each piece with anticipation for future works.
